Description

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW) (RQF) *Requalification* provides learners that hold a current valid First Aid at Work certificate, or very newly expired, the ability to undertake a reduced training course in order to requalify for another 3 years.

Learners have a one-month period of grace, post-certificate expiry, to be able to access this condensed course, however it is important to note that during this period learners are not qualified to provide first aid.

This Course is a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT to obtain the SIA Close Protection Licence. It is also suitable for those SIA Door Supervisors and Security Officers/Guards wishing to enhance their knowledge in First Aid, or progressing from the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Course.

This course is suitable for people aged 14+ who might need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work. It is ideal for organisations whose first aid needs assessment has identified a requirement for someone to hold a current First Aid at Work qualification. It gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace.

The course is made up of our "blended" learning package, consisting of 6 Hours of E-Learning (Home Self-Study) and 1 Day Face-to-Face Classroom Session, that runs from 9am until 4pm.

Delivered in both an online and classroom setting, this course offers a hybrid theory, practical and hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real-life situation. For added reassurance, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions, quizzes and engaging activities designed to coach and support them.

To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate, and we limit group size to 12 people.

Each learner receives a Training Pack including a host of resources to help them practice the skills covered. The pack includes a course companion workbook, bandages and more.

We recommend that you bring your own lunch, as not all venues have food outlets on site or nearby.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive the Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate which is valid for 3 years. This course meets the requirements specified by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
