Description

The Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (formally known as L2 NVQ) is designed for individuals who are already employed or seeking employment in positions such as Crowd Safety Steward, Response Security Officer or Event Support. It aligns with the Skills Active Spectator Safety National Occupational Standards, which are recommended as the minimum qualification level in the SGSA's Green Guide for Safety at Sports Grounds.

Completion of this qualification is a pre-requisite for obtaining employment in roles that involve large scale event and crowd control, including Sports Stadiums, Concerts, Racecourses, Festivals, Arenas, and other settings that handle large crowds.

This Course is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT to work in Sports Stadiums such as St. Mary's, The Ageas Bowl, Twickenham & Wembley.

As part of this qualification, you are required to complete a work or industry placement experience throughout the qualification's duration prior to certification. Your tutor/assessor will visit your place of work to observe your practice and conduct practical assessments within the context of your typical work or placement patterns.

SUPPORTING COURSES

You will be required to undertake the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) ACT Awareness and ACT Security online modules through our Award Winning E-Learning Platform.

You must also have a valid First Aid or Basic Life Support Skills qualification such as the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Qualification. No worries if you don't have it! >>>>> it can be booked by clicking here!!.

These MUST both be achieved prior to the issue of your Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety.

DURATION

The course is run "blended", with a total of 73 Guided Learning Hours of E-Learning (Home Self-Study) and a minimum of 2 Days Practical Observation Assessments

Unit 1: Prepare for Spectator Events

Unit 4: Deal with Incidents at Spectator Events
