frequently asked questions

Many entry-level security roles, such as event stewarding or mobile patrolling, do not require prior experience. Employers often provide training to meet industry standards, such as obtaining an SIA license. At AEC Protection, training opportunities are available to help individuals kickstart their security careers and meet the required qualifications.
Most security roles in the UK require a Security Industry Authority (SIA) license. For specific roles, additional training, such as crowd management or first aid, may be necessary. AEC Protection offers accredited training programmes to help candidates achieve these qualifications and prepare for real-world challenges.
To become a security officer, you’ll typically need an SIA license and relevant training. Employers value qualities like reliability, attention to detail, and situational awareness. AEC Protection supports individuals through its training programmes and offers a variety of security officer roles across the UK.
Security officer salaries vary widely, ranging from £20,000 to £50,000+ annually, depending on the role and level of expertise. Highly skilled roles like close protection or security management can earn significantly more. AEC Protection offers competitive salaries and opportunities for progression in specialist roles.
To become an event steward, you may need training in spectator safety or crowd management. For certain roles, an SIA license is also required. AEC Protection provides training and job opportunities for individuals looking to start or progress in event security roles.
